The second-brain recorder.
An Android app that records a conversation and uploads it to a backend on my own PC, where it is transcribed and searchable. Own data, own code, end to end.

The problem
Useful conversations evaporate. The commercial versions send everything to someone else's cloud.
How it works
- Native Kotlin app: a foreground recording service, tap to start and stop, an offline upload queue that retries until the PC is reachable.
- Backend on the PC with zero external dependencies, an ingest endpoint and a database, plus a transcription worker that writes the text back.
- Phone-call capture deliberately out of scope: modern Android blocks third-party apps from recording the other party, and the design says so instead of pretending.
// audio and transcripts never leave hardware I own
The result
A personal recorder that works on a tap, with every byte on my own machine.
